Michael began his law enforcement career in Montana before later serving with the Seattle Police Department, where he worked patrol operations in downtown Seattle. He later joined a neighboring law enforcement agency, where he served as a detective assigned to major property crimes investigations. In 2010, Michael returned to Montana and became a licensed private investigator, eventually founding Elite Investigations. In 2020, he was appointed Sheriff of Mineral County, Montana, where he supervised patrol, dispatch, and detention operations before returning full-time to private investigations in 2023.

 

Through Elite Investigations, Michael works closely with attorneys, businesses, insurance companies, and private clients throughout Montana and across the United States. His investigative work includes litigation support, witness interviews, surveillance, fraud investigations, background investigations, asset searches, and complex case analysis.

 

Michael is also the founder of the Montana Association of Licensed Investigators (MTALI), created to strengthen professionalism, training, ethics, and collaboration within Montana’s investigative community. He is an active member of several national investigative organizations and is committed to advancing the private investigation profession through education, networking, and mentorship.
